Katie and John's Spring Wedding At Springs Preserve
John and Katie were married in April at Springs Preserve. Their lovely ceremony was held in the Origen with their cake and champagne cocktail hour taking place nearby. Afterwards, guests headed over to Smith and Wollensky where they dined inside the Wine Room. The room was filled with love, laughter, and an abundance of delicious food. Congratulations again John and Katie! I love John's reaction as he sees Katie in her wedding dress for the first time.

Katie and Ryan's Modern Vintage Wedding
Katie and Ryan were so much fun to work with! They are my only couple to date to book both their ceremony and reception venue without seeing it before hand. They trusted my judgement and had a beautiful ceremony at Springs Preserve inside the Origen and a delicious dinner reception at Joe's Stone Crab. These Air Force loves were surrounded by their closest friends and family and their bridal party had us laughing all night long.

Eco-Elegant Bridal Affair at Springs Preserve
Last year I had the opportunity to participate in the 1st annual Eco-Elegant Bridal Affair at the Springs Preserve. It's the only one of its kind here in Las Vegas - a bridal fair showcasing eco-friendly vendors. I'm not able to participate this year due to scheduling conflicts but I'm so happy that they'll be hosting the 2nd annual Eco-Elegant Bridal Affair this Sunday, May 2nd.
I encourage brides and grooms to stop by and check out the beautiful Springs Preserve as well as meet the wonderful participating eco friendly wedding professionals.
In addition, there will be a silent auction benefiting the American Cancer Society.

Gardens Arboretum: The vibrant, lush green gardens and intimate and understated setting ensure your garden ceremony will be a day that is spoken of with the warmest of memories by all in attendance. The Garden Arboretum makes an ideal location for up to 100 guests. Gardens Amphitheater: Under the stars or beneath the blue sky, this open-air setting will be perfect for your memorable event. You'll exchange vows beneath a cluster of trees set aglow with white LED lights. Surrounded by natural beauty, the Garden Amphitheater can accommodate up to 250 guests. Inner Rotunda: Crossroad Commons Amphitheater: This perfect location for your fairytale wedding or grand reception accommodates up to 500 guests. As you look into each other's eyes and exchange the special vows you wrote, your friends and loved ones will be as moved by the setting you've chosen as by the vows you recite. Set amongst desert plants and soaring rockwork, this will be a day long remembered by all in attendance.
Reception Space: Gardens Arboretum: The intimate garden space accommodates up to 60 guests and includes the structural frame house that is the perfect backdrop for dancing under the stars. Desert Living Center Banquet Space: You've officially been joined as husband and wife, and you want your reception to reflect the love you hold for each other and for the Earth. This indoor location demonstrates the beauty that can be found when we embrace our environment. Your guests will be engaged by unique recycled and reclaimed design elements throughout the space and the soaring train trestle wood beam ceilings overhead. Maximum capacities vary. Gardens Plaza: Make your wedding day the most memorable from start to finish as you and your guests enjoy stimulating architecture, desert plant life and trees adorned by white LED lights and Air Star crystals. The Gardens Plaza is the perfect location for a reception under the stars. This enchanted venue is also well suited for wedding ceremonies. ORIGEN Rotunda: You're a non-traditional couple and you want your wedding reception to be a reflection of your personalities. This museum space makes an ideal location for your cocktail reception of up to 200 guests. Between toasts your friends and family can explore a gallery that highlights local artists or enjoy the 156-seat surround sound movie theater.

The facility fee for the ceremony includes the following amenities: complimentary parking, directional signage, guest service staff to help direct guests to and from ceremony location, bridal space and groom space, 1 hour wedding rehearsal, white garden chairs if applicable, sound system, microphone, pre-recorded ceremony music if applicable, and a onsite event coordinator.
The facility fee for the reception includes the following amenities: complimentary parking, directional signage, guest service staff to help direct guests to and from the reception location, 4 hour space rental, setup and breakdown, tables and chairs, Master DJ for 4 hours, 12 x 12 light oak dance floor, specialty lighting if applicable, high boys/low boys if applicable, and a onsite event coordinator.
**If the couple plans on holding both their wedding ceremony and reception on our property they are given a substantial discount on the wedding ceremony.**

Last Friday, Green Orchid Events had the pleasure of exhibiting at the Eco-Elegant Bridal Affair at Springs Preserve.
This was our first time at the venue and I have to say that I am in absolute awe of this place!
With multiple wedding ceremony and reception locations as well as catering by Wolfgang Puck, the Springs Preserve is the perfect venue for your green wedding!
The building is made from recycled environmentally friendly materials and only the freshest organic ingredients are used in creating their special catering menus for your special day.

Green Orchid Events is excited to announce that we will be participating in the Springs Preserve Eco-Elegant Bridal Affair on May 1st. The Springs Preserve Eco-Elegant Bridal Affair is the only green bridal show in town. See the information below:
The Springs Preserve and Roni Josef International Salon and Spa join together to host the Eco-Elegant Bridal Affair on May 1 from 5 to 9 p.m.
The event benefits the American Cancer Society and the Springs Preserve, which, among other things, funds environmental programs for educating children.
Enjoy breathtaking surroundings, exclusive eco-conscious vendors, dazzling floral arrangements, delectable organic edibles by Wolfgang Puck and enviable gifts and prizes. Also, experience an elegant bridal fashion show featuring selected designer gowns by Vera Wang, Badgley Mischka, Carolina Herrera and more.
General admission for this event is $10 per person or $15 per couple and includes a commemorative eco-CD for every bride (featuring show highlights), admission to Springs Preserve museums and exhibits and personal consultations with eco-vendors. Ages 5 to 17 are admitted free.
VIP admission is also available for $30 per person, $50 per couple or $10 per child ages 5 to 17 (ages 4 and under are free), and includes all general admission benefits plus luxury bridal gift bag, complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, Wedding Cake 101 and cake tasting with Little Pastry Chefs and a Wolfgang Puck hors d'oeuvres reception.

Inaugural Wedding Event Set to Ease the Stress of Planning the Big Day
Las Vegas, NV - Planning a wedding is never easy, even in Las Vegas. On May 3, 2009, Green Orchid Events presents the inaugural Las Vegas Bridal Tour, an event sure to help ease the stress of planning the big day. The couture bridal tour will feature a select group of vendors ready to serve the chic and hip Las Vegas bride-to-be.
Throughout the day brides-to-be will have the opportunity to meet vendors in an intimate setting while receiving savvy planning tips from Juliet Douglas, owner of Green Orchid Events. Participating vendors include: Alt F, BBJ Linen, Canyon Ranch SpaClub, Earth Limos & Buses, Enchanted Florist, Simple Elegance in Cake Design and Wolfgang Puck Café at Springs Preserve.
The tour begins at 9:30AM at the Canyon Ranch SpaClub. Guests will be chauffeured throughout the day on an Earth Bus. Tickets for the tour are available for purchase at http://lasvegasbridaltour.eventbrite.com. Tickets are $70 until April 22, 2009 and include a champagne brunch at Springs Preserve Café by Wolfgang Puck and a Simple Elegance in Cake Design tasting.
