Featured on Rock N Roll Bride

I've so excited to announce that our photo shoot has been featured on Rock 'n Roll Bride! Back in January when Las Vegas was rainy and gloomy, we thought it would be a great idea to put together a bridal shoot!  I was inspired by our model and my good friend Anne Claire's wedding dress. She had a teal sash on the waist of her wedding dress and that was inspiration behind the color scheme of the entire photo shoot - teal, bright yellow, and steel gray.

I'm so happy that we had such a great team.  Anne Claire and her husband Brian were such good sports in the freezing cold!

Project Wedding and Wedding Wire Partnership

It's exciting that two major online wedding communities connecting wedding professionals to brides and grooms have partnered up recently.  Project Wedding (who is part of the eHarmony Wedding Network that also owns Wedding Bee) and Wedding Wire (who partnered with Martha Stewart Weddings) have joined forces. On Project Wedding, Wedding Wire, Martha Stewart Weddings, and now Wedding Bee, you can read reviews of your vendors from past brides as well as review your wedding vendors after your wedding day!  These websites are ALL great wedding planning tools!

Hiring a Wedding Day Coordinator...

from a Groom's perspective. I came across this blog and loved the first post I read regarding the hiring of a wedding day coordinator.   Groomasaurus, with it's cute tag line: Move over bridezilla...wedding planning is for grooms, too, is a blog written from the groom's perspective.  I love Jeff's writing style and his blog is an entertaining read for both brides and grooms alike.

Jeff seems like a level headed man based on his blog posts but let's just hope I don't see a rise in Groomzillas...

The Real Reason We Get Married

After falling madly in love with images from this Edward Scissorhands inspired wedding on Rock 'n Roll Bride last week, I took the time to read the blog post. The bride Karri's quote just totally touched my heart and when we're in the midst of all this wedding planning, sometimes it's a good reminder of why we celebrate the beauty of weddings. Here's her quote:

“Not all wedding days are perfect but It didn’t even matter that my cake’s fondant was imploding or that my hair literally actually weighed 10 lbs, or that my boobs almost fell out of my dress, I was marrying the man I loved. And this man will always be the Edward to my Bella, the Harry to my Ginny and the Ian to my Karri.”
